In November, 2015, Jay R. Schmerler participated in a webinar enitled, " If You're Not On Facebook, You're Commiting Malpractice." The exploding use of social media was explored, particularly as to its impact upon both attorneys and litigants. Emphasis was placed on restraint by clients, as regards postings on social media, during the pendency of a legal matter. Certainly food for thought as even what you've posted in the past can be used against you presently and ultimately harm your case. Remember - comments and posts on any social media site constitute public information, available for all to see.
